Our Faith
Our Mission
Build a church spiritually alive with faith, godliness and holiness, where every believer is prepared for ministry, equipped with an understanding of God’s word, lives out the Great Commandment and is committed to the Great Commission.
The Trinity
We believe there is only one true and living God who is infinite in every excellence, and who eternally exists in three persons - the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections, and worthy of precisely the same homage, confidence and obedience.
The Second Coming
We believe in the personal, imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ for His own, the church, and His subsequent return to earth in power and glory to set up His messianic, millennial kingdom. We further believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal blessedness of the saved in the presence of the Lord, and the eternal judgement of the unsaved in the lake of fire.
The Church
We believe in the church universal which consists of all born-again believers baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Spirit. We believe in the church local, the tangible and geographical manifestation of the church universal, a congregation of baptized believers bound together by covenant to accomplish the will and work of God. Christ has commanded the church to observe two ordinances, the Baptism of believers by immersion and the Lord's Supper. Both are symbolic expressions of the message of salvation. Local churches are autonomous bodies competent to fulfill their ministries under the leadership of the Lord. Churches may however co-operate with other churches of like saving faith and order for achieving common goals.
Satan
We believe in the existence of Satan as a personal being and a fallen angelic creature of God, who is the originator of sin and the open and declared enemy of God and man and leader of the company of angels who followed him in his fall. In his warfare against God and the people of God he appears as an angel of light, counterfeiting the works of God, denying the person and work of Christ and salvation by grace alone. Satan was defeated and judged at the Cross though that judgement was not then executed. He now rules as the "god of this world" but is destined to eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
Man
We believe that God created man, one human pair, from whom the whole human race has descended and that they were made in the image and after the likeness of God. These, our first parents, wilfully disobeyed God and fell through sin, plunging the whole human race into condemnation and death. Man is essentially and unchangeably sinful apart from God's grace.
Word of God
We believe in the Old and New Testaments as the verbally inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for Christian faith and life. Scripture is true and reliable in all matters it addresses.
Redemption
We believe that owing to universal death through sin, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless born again to be children of God, having a new nature imparted from above, a new life implanted by the Holy Spirit through the Word. We believe, also, that our redemption has been accomplished solely by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was made to be sin and a curse for us, dying in our place and stead. We believe that no human effort or works can add in the very least degree to the efficacy of the blood of Jesus Christ or to the merit of the finished work wrought for us by Him who united in His finished work wrought for us by Him who united in His person absolute deity with perfect and sinless humanity. We believe that we are called to be holy, to walk not after the flesh with its fallen Adamic nature, but after the Spirit, and so to live in the power of the indwelling Spirit that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh to the end of our earthly pilgrimage.
